2016 - 2017 Wellness Plan

To support the relationship between student health and academic achievement, the 2014 Mississippi Public School Accountability Standards (Standard 17.5.1) and the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 (HHFKA) requires each local school to establish a local school wellness policy. Mississippi Code of 1972, Annotated Section 37-13-134 requires the recommendations made by a school health council to be based on a coordinated approach to school health. The 2016-2017 Wellness Plan was approved by the Greenwood Public School District Board of Trustees on October 20, 2016.
