GHS recognizes senior athletes

Greenwood High School honored its senior basketball players and cheerleaders at the school’s last regular season home game. Senior varsity basketball players recognized included:



    • Kwatrivious Johnson, #33, plays center on the team. He is the son of the late Natasha Poindexter & Demetrice Johnson. “Dollar Bill” is a two-year letterman and will attend Mississippi State University (football) and major in business and accounting.

 

    • Johnny Williams. #45, plays small forward on the team. He is the son of Chantel Buford and Johnny Williams III. He is a two-year letterman and plans to attend Northwest Community College and major in sports management and physical therapy.

 

    • R’Tavious McGee, #4, plays small forward on the team. He is the son of Antoinette Ford. R’Tavius is a two-year letterman and plans to attend a college of his choice and major in sports management.

 

    • Alexus Richardson, cheerleader, is the daughter of Taniesha Anderson and Johnny Fleming. She is a two-year letterman. Alexus plans to attend Alcorn State University and become a registered nurse or pharmacy tech.

 

    • Pleasant Banks, #24, plays guard/forward on the team. She is the daughter of Jefflyn and Even Banks. Pleasant is a four-year letterman and will attend Mississippi State University and major in pre-dentistry.

 

    • Kambriya Quinn, #21, plays center/forward on the team. She is the daughter of Bianca Quinn and Donald Spells. Kambriya is a one-year letterman. She plans to attend Mississippi Valley State University and major in biology.

 

    • Quenterria Jackson, #15, plays guard on the team. She is the daughter of Lillie Jackson. She is a three-year letterman and plans to attend a college of her choice and major in criminal justice.

 

    • Destiny Jackson, #12, plays guard/forward on the team. She is the daughter of Araka Lucas and Desi Jackson. Destiny is a three-year letterman and plans to attend Northwest Community College and major in physical therapy.

 

    • Special Recognition- Alexander Glover, #23, a sophomore, was recognized for her outstanding hard work this season. She was presented a trophy from Bishop Young.
